Super busy team - never a dull moment

One of the team is away for approximately six (6) months and the person who was to caretake the position is leaving in the next two weeks, so there's the chance to get working straightaway.

A summary of what you would be doing in a typical day is as follows.


  • Mainly payment allocation – approx 99% of the role

  • Adjustment

  • Email customers with to check their requirements when remittance detail is unclear

  • Reply to customer queries

  • Help to find unallocated payments and get them applied

  • Collaborate with Credit Controllers to solve problems on remittances

  • Assist others in the team with data entry

  • Filing

  • Update customer database

Admin Support & Reception

South Auckland

Expected to be 9am - 3pm
Monday to Friday

Due to an internal move by an existing team member, our client employer is looking for someone new to be the face of their company (the first person visitors will see when they stop in) and the wind beneath the wings of everyone in the team!

The role offers variety ++



  • Be the first person who greets all visitors to the office and makes them welcome

  • Answer incoming calls on the main line

  • Collect the mail from a nearby PO Box

  • Open office emails and answer or refer internally as needed

  • Do dishes for the team, empty rubbish and vacuum

  • Regularly attend to filing

  • Set client files up in the computer

  • Create folders and Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSP) for new contracts

  • Type up correspondence

  • Print out documentation required by the team

  • Assist with payroll

  • Purchase orders

  • Keep tabs on training required by the team and liaise with them and the company’s service providers to get employees booked in – e.g. Site Safe and First Aid

  • Keep track of registration and WOF dates for company vehicles and liaise with the team to ensure they are kept current

  • Order stationery

  • Order uniforms and personal protective equipment and clothing (PPE) for the team

  • And MORE!

  • In regular consultation with colleagues, you will work as a team to get projects over the line, within budget and on time

The owner of this business is looking for a someone who gets on with most people, who is also happy to get on with the work.

You will be one of a team whose skill-set covers plumbing, drain laying and gas fitting. This mid-sized business has a solid base of repeat commercial clients and a reputation that gives them good standing in the market.

Broadly speaking, you will:


  • Undertake both commercial and residential work, alone and in teams

  • Share what you know with others who are still learning the ropes

  • Equally, be open to learning skills that improve how you do things

  • Have some interaction with clients, including members of the public, and client representatives overseeing projects that your team are working on

  • You may need to be mindful of fitting in with other contractors on sites where you are working and ensuring that your actions don’t impact adversely on their safety – or vice versa

  • Work safely, both complying with the Health & Safety requirements of the employer and any requirements that are site specific

  • Hand in tidy and accurate paperwork and detail relating to job completion

What you need to have


  • Ideally, you will be either a Registered Plumber, or a Certified Plumber, Drain Layer or Gas Fitter

  • Alternatively, you may have a practical background in the construction industry

Project Supervisor (hands on)

Working from rural premises in the Franklin area, this team are well-established in the installation, servicing and repair of waste water systems for both residential and commercial customers.


  • Variety

  • 50:50 – planning out projects / work at site

  • Assess planned work, i.e. feasibility, tools, time and people needed

  • Liaise with builders and other contractors to plan and schedule wastewater installations

  • Prioritise work

  • Re-prioritise when client needs necessitate change, e.g. when a repair must take precedence, or to take account of a change in weather or resources

  • Roll your sleeves up and pitch in to make sure jobs are completed well and on time

What you need to have


  • The employer wants someone whose past practical experience can be put to use.

  • Prefer a trade related background – possibly drainlaying, installation / service / repair of UV systems, water pumps or similar

  • Ability to manage time, resources and people cost effectively

  • Good organisational skills – coupled with the ability to get the cooperation of others to get a job done

  • Willing to give things a go – possibly experiment when there isn’t an obvious way forward

  • Pride in your workmanship – complete your own work to a high standard, with regard to ensuring the client gets what was promised

  • Agility to roll with things when priorities change
