Location

  • The role is based at Marsden Point

  • However, if it is more convenient, it may be possible to work some days from premises in Whangarei 

Duties

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied.  Among other things, they include: 

·       Preparation of budgets & cashflow forecasts

·       Payroll

·       Debtors & creditors

·       Statutory returns

·       Reconciliations

·       Managing staff/project expenses

·       Assisting in the preparation of tenders

·       Financial reporting

 

 Salary 

This will be negotiated to reflect your experience.  As a guide, the employer is open to paying in the range of $65,000 to circa $80,000.

 

What you need to have 

As described above, this team work well together, so they’re looking for someone who is generally open and collaborative, with the following: 

  • Ideally, a tertiary qualification

  • Considerable accounting/bookkeeping experience

  • High proficiency with MS Excel and other MS applications

  • The ability to translate complex financial information in a way that non-financial team members can readily understand

  • Agility to flex to support the management and operational teams generally, e.g. with costings

It’s not a deal breaker if you haven’t used the following – but it may be a bonus if you have. 

  • Xero (with Hubdoc)

  • Smartly payroll

  • Projectworks

  • Monday.com
